Looks so much better without that ridiculous ponytail.
Color theory time (or random thing I noticed): poor girl looks pretty uninteresting as far as her colors go as the color values are pretty much the same across the board. This can be seen very easily by converting this picture (or the cover of 255) to grayscale and then comparing her coloration to a similarly doctored picture of a game character or even your rendition of New!Sally: Bunnie's an almost uniform shade of gray while Sally is a rainbow of gray.
